Nooooooooooo!!!!

O.k., in Feb. 2007 I sprained my ankle. I really destroyed it in April of 2007; my doc gave me an air cast to wear. It never got better. I saw some neuro doc about 6 weeks ago who took an x-ray and gave me a steroid injection which did nothing. It felt better for a few weeks (had nothing to do with the shot) and now it really started hurting again...and it figures, I've been doing so well with the treadmill and the bike!!! I'm supposed to call him and the plan was to send me for an MRI. I'm so upset because I NEED to exercise every day in order to see a loss and I seem to just be starting to kick my body into gear. I'm going to try and get on the bike today at the gym (maybe I'll pad my sore butt with some toilet paper...I HATE bike seats!). Just so darn angry!!!!

8.5 down

63 to go.
UGH

I've been going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week and either using the treadmill or the bike for 30 minutes. I started using the hand weights at home this week, and adding in a little of my dance cardio dvd (o.k., a little being 10 minutes on Monday afternoon).

I want that "Lost 10 pounds" next week!!!!

BIG sigh

Here we are, the start of week 7 and I've lost 7.7 lbs. So much for losing 25 by my birthday (May 13); I'll be lucky if I lose 15! Heck, 10!

Anyway...I have an "event" on April 5th and I'd love to be able to go out and buy a new "grown-up" outfit for it. 32 days, how many pounds do you think I can lose by then.

I need this snow to melt so that I can take the stroller and go for walks. Or put snowtires on the stroller (do they make snowtires for strollers? mental note...create a snow-stroller and make lots of money). We took the kids to the playground yesterday. They got a kick out of playing in the sandbox which was covered in snow.

Today is Red-White-Blue Day to celebrate Dr. Suess. I have to remember to get a pic of the kids later before the start shedding clothes (usually the split second they walk in the front door). G even has a Cat-In-The-Hat Hat.

O.k., off to do something. Happy March.

Back on Weight Watchers

Sooooooo....
here I go again.
I started WW again on Jan. 14th. I'm pretty bummed that I'm only down 5 lbs. in a month. To me, that sucks. I really stuck to it the first 2 weeks, then week 3, Bill was away and the Superbowl was the day before my weigh day, but still. I've been exercising faithfully (30 min. at least 4 days a week on the treadmill, bike or walking) and I haven't exercised in YEARS! I'm still nursing a few times a day, so you think that would help...but NOOOOOOO! I'm not giving up; I hope that I just have to kick start my metabolism and then all of a sudden I'll start dropping like crazy (WTH with those "Biggest Losers" losing 12 lbs. in a week????!!!!!)
Anyhoo...
My weigh day is Monday, but I'm thinking of switching it to give myself that extra day after the weekend to "fix" it.

Wish me luck!!!!

Update...

Wow; time flies!

I can't believe that it's 2008...and we're already half-way through January! Yesterday was Braeden's 18 month b-day. I was hoping that by now he'd be sleeping through the night and last night he woke up at leat 9 times. I really could use some sleep! Or how about, more than 2 hours?

Thomas is doing really well. He's been on a new med (Vyvanse) which has really helped him calm down in school. He does seem to make him a little more irritable at times, though. He was also accepted into two new programs at school for math and reading. He's also playing basketball and just signed up for another year of little league.

Kaleigh is cruising right along, too. She wasn't invited to a special mastery test preparation class, so that means she's doing quite well in school. We had to explain to her that it was good that she wasn't invited (and a lot of her friends were). She's still dancing and is in the Church choir. She also recently had 8" cut off of her hair and donated that to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths and she got her ears pierced!

Garrett is having a blast in school and is very popular with the girls (who fight over who gets to sit with him). He's doing well with his speech, too. If only we could get him to stop saying "shut up" so clearly. He loves playing with Braeden, watching "Spongebob" and still enjoys watching the Wiggles once in a while (although not as much as he used to, he's growing up!). He recently had a dentist appointment, and she said that his two bottom teeth are beginning to get loose! He's going to be so cute when he loses his little teeth!

Braeden is talking up a storm lately. I can't even count the words he says. I think "poop" and "pee pee" are his favorites, though. And no. He is still not sleeping through the night, which is driving me insane and sucking the life out of me. He did have a pretty bad ear infection about two weeks ago, and once he was treated for that, he slept pretty well for two or three nights. I'm tired of being tired! He's also still nursing to fall asleep for naps (if I'm here) and at bedtime. And he's still waking up to nurse once or twice a night. I'd love to cut that out a.s.a.p., just don't know how to!

I started Weight Watchers for the gazillionth time, but this time I really mean it. I've been going to the gym, but can only ride the bike, since my ankle (which I sprained last Feb.) has been really bad. I have an appt. with an ortho doc on 1/21 to see what's going on with it. I can't even walk anymore, so I'm hoping for a quick and easy fix (which I doubt).

What else...Bill started doing the papers again in the morning. It was too hard squeaking by without that money. Only for a few months, though. Just to pay off some bills. He has more traveling this year than last....and I think it's only going to get worse. He just spent a few days in PA, and Orlando is in a week for a week. When he's not around, Garrett really, really, REALLY is dfficult to handle. He gets destructive and just acts out constantly; like a different little boy. He did a lot of damage last time....broke a picture frame, the blinds, tore down the curtains....

Well...off to get everyone ready for Thomas' game. And I need a GIANT cup of coffee (no points in that).

I'll post a few pics, too.

O.k, It's been a while

Blame Facebook. I've been playing over there way too much!

Everything has been going well. School is great; the kids are doing awesome. Kaleigh received an award at the first assembly of the year for showing great caring and compassion for her friends and teachers. I was so proud! She's received this award 3 years in a row now! She's also enjoying her hip-hop class with her friend, Payton. And she's always bike riding with her friend, Lillia, after school.

Garrett is doing really well. He's learning his letters...they do 1 a week, and so far he has learned M, A and P! And he sings all the songs this year. Last year he was really quiet. Still working on the potty training. And he's going on a field trip next week to a pumpkin farm for a hayride. He has so many friends, too. His teacher from last year said that he has to skip school some day and come in because all the kids are asking for Garrett. We'll have to blow off a day sometime soon!

Thomas is doing really well, too. His teacher is trying to find harder work for him to do and is giving him a new book series to start next week. He really seems to "get" Thomas, and Thomas is loving school. He's even playing the trumpet this year! And he's joined our CYO Basketball team...AND he came in 2nd in a townwide cross country (1 mile) race out of all the 4th graders that ran! He's also doing much better with friends and has "a lot of good friends" according to his teacher.

And Braeden...well, Braeden still doesn't sleep well. He's still not eating enough and I'm afraid of his doctor's appointment which is coming up in two weeks! Besides that, he's saying lots of stuff now (mom, daddy, eat, no, what's that, doggy, kitty, up...and more that I can't think of right now). He's got 5 1/2 teeth and I have a feeling more are coming soon!

I have a feeling this is going to be a great year for my superstar kids!

Please Pray for Chelsea
